AdBlue (urea solution) flows through the small orifices of the dosing module. Contamination, crystallization, or off-spec AdBlue can turn the module into a replacement job in hours.
Tank cleanliness equals filter life
Sediment at the tank bottom plugs the suction-side filter and, downstream, the dosing module. Annual tank inspection and cleaning are as important as the filter.
Watch crystallization in the cold
AdBlue starts to freeze below -11 °C. Freeze-thaw cycles stress the filter. Use cold-storage handling, heated tanks, or indoor parking in winter.
